The fifth running of the Kennebecasis Valley Challenge Marathon took place on October 19, 2008.

This marathon passes through the picturesque communities of the lower Kennebecasis River Valley from its starting point in Bloomfield, through Hampton and Quispamsis, to its finish in Rothesay.

The Kennebecasis Valley Challenge Marathon is a single event (26.2 mile measured marathon) sanctioned by Athletics Canada and approved as a 'Boston Qualifier'. This unique point-to-point run is a community friendly event. Again this year the event is also a marathon relay for 2 and 4 member teams.
